  1. For the best dialing results, always enter the area code with the local phone number in the Data Entry dialog box.  Use one of these formats (415-555-5900 is an example):

  5.     415 555-5900

  7. Do not include any long distance carrier codes, country codes, or country access codes.  These should be entered in the Dialing Preferences dialog box.  (See the subtopic “Dialing Preferences” under “Dial Menu” for instructions.)
